My parents game a Kodak instamatic for a birthday present when I was a child. My dad and grandfather were already keen photographers so I must have caught the bug from them. My first proper camera was a Minolta XG1 which would seem quite primitive today. I eventually progressed to a dynax 7000i - my first autofocus camera but jumped ship to Canon and continued until recently when I bought a Nikon Z5II. My main area of interest is landscapes, both urban and natural.
